Where’s the Beach?
The beautiful city of Cape Coral is home to two beaches, one of which is closed temporarily due to damage sustained from Hurricane Ian.
The first beach, Yacht Club Beach, is Cape Coral’s primary beach and is located at the Yacht Club Community Park. Unfortunately this beach suffered extensive damage by Hurricane Ian and is currently closed for repairs and debris removal. This Cape Coral beach sits on the Caloosahatchee River, not on the Gulf like most of the other beaches in neighboring towns and cities within Southwest Florida. Within the Yacht Club Community Park there is a public boat launch (temporarily closed for repairs) and a restaurant. The restaurant is called the Boathouse Tiki Bar & Grill which has just re-opened after having to be rebuilt due to Hurricane Ian.
The second beach is Four Freedoms Park Beach and is located in the Four Freedoms Park. This beach sits along the Bimini Basin and is a sunbathing only beach. Four Freedoms Park also has a playground and picnic areas.
